Gradius III ~Densetsu kara Shinwa~
Full Power Up
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, X, O
( Gives you all weapons, Shield and Laser)
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, Square, Triangle
(Gives you all weapons, Shield and Double)
You can use this cheat a number of times:-
Easiest - All the time
Very Easy, Easy, Normal - only stage + 1
Hard, Hardest - Not at all
Cube Attack
- To get Cube Attack you have to reach to Stage 9, then it is activated on the Title page in Extra Mode
Extra Editing
- When you complete 1 loop without continuing, or 10 hours play time, EXTRA EDIT appears in the EXTRA MODE.
When you complete 1 loop without continuing with the EXTRA EDIT, or 20 hours play time, more equipment is added to the EXTRA EDIT. This means you can select weapon combinations that you usually cannot have.
(i.e. Spread Bomb in the Edit selection)
Hidden Stages
- To play the first stage of Gradius and Salamander, play Gradius III until you get to the end of game final boss, he shoots three electric balls at you, don't dodge them, touch the middle ball to warp into Gradius world or touch the lower one to warp into Salamander world. Once you've entered one of them you can play them again by going to Extra Mode in you menu and select Gradius or Salamander.
When I say 10 and 20 hours play time is does not mean leave your PS2 on over night because that does not work, it has to be PLAY TIME.
Gradius IV Fukkatsu
Full Power Up
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, X, O
(Gives you all weapons, Shield and Laser)
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, Square, Triangle

You can use this cheat a number of times:-
Easiest - 3 times + Stage + 1
Very Easy - 2 times + Stage +1
Easy - 1 time + Stage + 1
Normal and up - Not at all
Boss Russ mode
- You have to complete the game (It doesn't matter if you continue) or 10 hours play time
Stage Select
- You have to complete the game without continuing or 20 hours of play time, you can then choose to start on any Stage up to what you have done before.
High Score Try
- You cannot use the Standard Konami Gradius cheat on High Score Try
Gradius V
Full Power Up
You are able to use one of these cheats for each level completed. ie.. clear the first Stage and then you have two, clear the second Stage and then you have three (if you do not use any that is).
Does not work on score attack mode.
Pause the game and then press
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, L1, R1
(Gives you all weapons, Shield and Laser)
- UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, L2, R2
(Gives you all weapons, Shield and Double)
Bonus Credits and Free Play
- For each hour of Game Play (Cumulative hours, it only counts when you actually play the
game, not when you just wait on the title and demo
screens) 1 bonus credit is added to your game. After 18 hours free play is unlocked.
Weapon Edit
- Beat the game to unlock weapon edit function. Press R1 on the weapon selection screen to activate weapon edit mode.
You can use this cheat a number of times:-
Easiest - 3 times + Stage + 1
Very Easy - 2 times + Stage +1
Easy - 1 time + Stage + 1
Normal and up - Not at all
