Introduction
I no longer have this collection of Zzap! 64 and Commodore Force as I've sold them, they have gone to a very good home in the Netherlands.
As a little mess around, here are all ninety issue in a animation (PNG animated using Javascript), animation speed is 250 and 500 (milliseconds).

All cover scan images are between 730k - 1.3MB PNG's.
Zzap! 64 is the best Commodore 64 magazine for news, games and reviews you could trust. This section is dedicated to that magazine.
On this page you will only find front cover scans, if you want reviews, rom images etc... then go to one of the other Zzap! 64 sites listed in the links section.
The Red-Gold logo is a scan edit from the front of the Zzap! 64 binders.

Retouching
Overall - 90/90 Issues Completed (100%) - The retouching is finally complete.
Virtually all of the front covers were drawn by Oliver Frey - http://www.oliverfreyart.com/, he also wrote a comic strip called the 'Terminal Man' which was featured in the back pages of the earlier issues.
He also done the front cover art for Amtix (Amstrad Magazine) and Crash (Sinclair Spectrum Magazine) http://www.crashonline.org.uk/, these are both sister magazines to Zzap! 64. Other later cover art was on Commodore Force, Sega Force, Sega Mega Force, Sega Master Force as well as some game box art too, including Creatures, Creatures 2, Heatseaker, Retrograde, Snare and many others.
To show how much work I put into these edits. Here are the before and after shots for Issue 7 and Issue 33.

Issue 2 was in a very bad way, this issue was given to my brother by one of his old friends from Albany school in Enfield Lock in 1985 (Chris D). As you can imagine the issue was walked around school and read by many people and was in quite a bad way.
Retouching the earlier issues can take a very long time. I know some people are thinking why edit them? Why not just put up the scan and be done with it (like some other sites), I would like this site to be the best quality possible.
Trivia
After Zzap64 ended at Issue 90, Commodore Force took over, this ran for just 16 issues before it too was closed down.
In the centre of issue 10 of Commodore Force they celebrated Zzap's 100th issue (a bit strange don't you think?).
Issue No 41 September 1988 was the last issue to feature the vertical 'Monthly Review for Commodore Soft Ware'.
Issue No 42 October 1988, shows the Katakis ship blowing up the 64 part of the Zzap!64 logo, the following month it was replaced with the C64 Amiga logo.
Issue No 65 September 1990, the last of the C64 Amiga logo, the follow month was back to a boxed Zzap!64 logo, with the sub text 'Commodore Games C64-Console-Amiga', this lasted until Issue No 73 May 1991.
Issue No 74 June 1991 lost the box and was last logo until its demise.

Posters
I was photographing all of my Gradius related posters and thought I would take a photo of my original Metro Force 1 poster I bought from Zzap! 64 magazine a very long time ago.
I'm planning on getting it framed someday.
