As my bike was not intended to be used in the Winter months, (a fair weather biker me) I needed a decent cover to give it maximum protection as unfortunately I do not have a garage or other similar building to store it in. Features:

The padlocks used with chains are for a bit of added security used in conjunction with the Oxford stormex bike cover. The chains which have a braided plastic protective jacket over them are passed through the eye slits in the bike cover which in turn pass through the front and rear wheels, these are then secured with a padlock. This serves two purposes, firstly it prevents the cover from being stolen, secondly it makes it harder to maneuver the bike. I purchased three matched key padlocks which are weather proofed, this meant I only needed to carry one key to open all three padlocks. Square Section Link Chains:

Wall Mounted

This device is designed for bike security with the intention of preventing theft or unauthourised removal of the motorcycle and is already featured in the homemade bike bits section. The wall anchor is bolted to a wall with heavy duty rawl bolts, the counter bores for the bolts are then blanked off to prevent bolt removal. The chain is passed through the hardened metal loop and through the motorcycle and secured with a heavy duty padlock. Other Views: |

This device is designed for bike security with the intention of preventing theft or unauthourised removal of the motorcycle and is already featured in the homemade bike bits section. The ground anchor is designed to be concreted into the ground with the intention of passing a chain through it and the motorcycle. This is then secured with a heavy duty padlock to prevent the motorcycle being lifted and carried away. Other Views: |
