Gradius Portable
Gradius Collection has a different title screen for Gradius Gaiden but not for the other games.
This collection contains the arcade versions of the four Gradius games and the PlayStation version of Gradius Gaiden.
All five games come on just one UMD and have some extras over the previous releases of the games.
Just to show you how much game you get with this release here is a picture of the original arcade boards and Gradius Gaiden.
Or you could say this PSP game pack contains the previous Deluxe packs from Konami.
The PlayStation Portable has a wide screen display which can be problem for games that are not wide screen. Konami has done this bit very well because you can play with a border in the original arcade aspect or you can blow it up to the biggest it can go but still keep the aspect ratio or you can have a wide stretched image
Gradius I and II can also play with more playing area, so when you have it in wide screen mode the image only stretches slightly.
Here is a summary of the three options available.
The PSP Full Screen Mode is just like the PlayStation version of Gradius Deluxe Pack, this means you have more playing area and makes the games a bit easier.
All the games have a save game option where you can Pause and save your game for later, the good thing is the save game is kept even if you carry on at a later date, which means you can save and carry on from that point as many times as you want. The only problem I have found is that it does not save exactly where you were but at the last route level.
There are a few extra bits in this pack which is very nice to see.
