Salamander - 沙羅曼蛇

Dai 1 Kai Idea Contest Special Version Clone (recreation).

This is Salamander but with Life Force (Gradius) style weapons that is a recreation of the rom set played at a contest 25th August 1989.

Edit Mode

This rom hack allows you to select weapon combinations that were not in the original version of the game.

On the EDIT MODE screen you will be able to go further up and down to select the other weapons.

I like choosing SPREAD BOMB, FREE WAY, TWIN LASER, OPTION, FORCE FIELD and REDUCE.

Service Mode - Sound Test

This hack also stops the counter in the Service Mode Sound Test, this allows you to listen to all the sound effect and music rather than only a few seconds.

Note that this is a Merged Set and does not require the gradius3 (World. program code R) rom.

Gradius IV ~Fukkatsu~ - グラディウスＩＶ～復活～

There are three different version of this hack that add different things:-

Gradius IV round and stage select (JAC version) + 20hz rapid

Select your starting loop, stage select and autofire (saves your poor arm with all the button bashing).

Gradius IV round and stage select (JAC version) - no rapid - stage 9 continue

Select your starting loop, stage select, no autofire and allow game continue on Stage 9 (normally it's game over if you die on Stage 9).

Gradius IV round and stage select (JAC version) - no rapid v2

Select your starting loop, stage select, no autofire.

This version is good for high score competitions as no autofire but you do still want to start on a higher loop and stage selects.

Information

Use joystick lever + start to select a loop:

• LOOP 1: Start
• LOOP 2: Right + Start
• LOOP 3: Left + Start
• LOOP 5: Down + Start
• LOOP 9: Up + Start

Use buttons + start to select stage. Game will pause momentarily.

Release button to avoid selecting weapon type accidentally:

• STAGE 1 LIQUID MAGMA Start
• STAGE 2 PLANT C + Start
• STAGE 3 BUBBLE B + Start
• STAGE 4 VOLCANO C + B + Start
• STAGE 5 MOAI A + Start
• STAGE 6 CELL A + C + Start
• STAGE 7 HI-SPEED A + B + Start
• STAGE 9 LAST A + B + C + Start
