By beating the arcade mode in any difficulty with any amount of continue,you'll unlock the challenge mode.

In 'GUNPLAY 1' and 'GUNPLAY 3' challenges,you have to use a prototype weapon,which is a 5-way homing gun to complete the stage.And this prototype gun launchs small Vic Vipers instead of missiles!
