Aero Kit Guide - Preparation

As with any project its all in the preparation.

Side Skirts

Clean and wax them, I used AutoGlym but I know others prefer............. (insert your own favourite product).

Install the two small grills (8), these are not the easiest things to get in as they require quite a bit of force.

Install the side skirt mountings using the expansion rivets.

Front Bumper

1

Paint I used Halford's own Black Bumper Paint.

2 3

I was planning on using vinyl tape but due to the form of the insert I decided to spray instead.

4 5

Mask the bumper up so none of the bumper is showing apart from the bit you will be spraying, take your time with this as any over spray would be a disaster.

Also clean the section to be sprayed.

6 7

One completed spraying, clean and wax them before you install the grills or the number plate carrier.

8 9

Install the two grills and you will see there is no show through on the top grill.

Front Number Plate Carrier

10

Mask the front bumper as this will stop the paint splitting when you drill it.

11

Put the carrier in the centre of the bumper, I used the lower grill and just counted the holes until they are equal on each side, used masking tape to hold down the carrier and drill the holes.

12

13

14 15

I used M6 Stainless bolts, Aluminium Washers and Nylock Nuts but you could use self tapers like the Aero instructions say.

Front Fog Light Foils

16

Some people don't like these but if you don't then don't buy them or install them.

17

They are held on with a sticky pad, just one thing, you only get one chance to install these as when they stick they will not come off without damaging the foil.

18

Front Bonnet Grill

No preparation needed.

Rear Bumper

19 20 20

Drill the 6mm hole in the centre of the fog light hole and 15mm down, this bracket stop the rear bumper being all wobberly.

22

I like the rear stickers installed but its up to you, just wet the pocket with some water with a bit a washing up liquid in it and position the sticker in place, remove all the excess water from the bumper pocket and from behind the sticker.

Wax the bumper and its ready for the install.
