Gradius ReBirth - Page 4

Finally got home and was able to play. Got #1 on the leaderboard with a score of

1,406,890, Stage 3-4.

I love the new music. Getting stuck right before Enigma on stage 5 is less mentally depressing now that it has my favorite song from Nemesis 3 on MSX =D.

I played as Metalion before but now it has the new music from Gradius 2 on MSX so now it's even more of a plus.

High scores were erased on console but my replays were saved fortunately.

Bravo, Konami. Just next time don't take so damn long, sheesh.

Late to the party, nice to see that the update is finally out. I want to play through the game as it is one more time before downloading it though,

I got my version of Rebirth in June of last year, but it won't let me update my version of ReBirth. Normally there would be such an option in the wii shop. ??

You don't have to buy it again, delete the old version, then redownload it again (it's free so long as you bought it the first time). I was sketchy about doing this at first, but the Wii keeps track of what you've downloaded already so this way you don't have to purchase it again (the update is free).

Yes, as long as it is the same Wii you can download any purchased software for free.

Any people playing this from Europe? I know this is kind of cheating hahah... But I scored top for both Very Easy and Easy as practice for my Normal run, which I will start doing soon. I fail pretty badly on loop 2, however. ><;

I took the first bonus stage, but ignored the second one since I'm not too good in it and score more from the main stage. On Very Easy, I farmed at Enigma's checkpoint (Took out all the cores and suicided) for about 8 lives before completing the game. I need to get practicing normal soon, I hope to make it to at least top-10.

There is a loop 129 run on Nicovideo. The guy on there is #2 on global scores for Normal and tviks is #1 with about 70 million points.

Ranked 4th on the scores, I'll take another round sometime to see if I could rank higher - The top scores aren't too far away!

I have to say, I'm pretty happy that I got that far. I have really seen improvement lately, I couldn't do stage 3 on Very Easy when this was released! I really hope Konami will release new Gradius games with Online scores, or the better, online co-op! ^^
